Reflect

Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards. – Soren Kierkegaard

To live and love with my whole heart, I have found that I need to spend time in reflection. December and January offer a valuable time to reflect on the year and make goals or resolutions. While I am all for end-of-year reflections and resolutions, I believe that it is important to reflect more often than only once a year. I find it helpful to reflect every day. To make a point of reflecting each day in order to build a habit of reflection.

Here are some ideas to get started:

  • What is giving you life?
  • What is taking life away from you?
  • Name something that you are doing well.
  • Name something that needs to get better.
  • Who are you becoming?

Learning about yourself helps you grow into the best version of you. Reflection offers perspective and change. Dare to reflect and grow from it.
