Rest

Living wholeheartedly means creating time and space for rest. I think this looks different for each person. For me, rest means sleeping in on the weekend. It means letting things on the to-do list stay unchecked. Letting go of expectations for the day when I start to feel overwhlemed. Curling up with a good book and a cup of tea. Staying off social media for a period of time. Cultivating gratitude for the moment. Dismissing feelings of guilt for not staying busy.

Creating space and time for rest helps me to stay focused and organized when I am trying to be productive. It helps create balance in life.

What doest rest look like to you?

Love, Ali
